Full-Time Employees and Dependents
The waiver may be used for full-time employees who have been employed at the college for at least six (6) months. The maximum credit hours for employees are six (6) per semester. Any full-time employee, regardless of funding, is eligible. Audited classes are also covered under the waiver. An employee must be active and not on leave of absence to qualify for the waiver. The waiver may also be used for students who are the spouse, domestic partner, dependent or domestic partner's dependent of a full-time employee who has been at the college for at least six (6) months. Dependents must be younger than 24 years of age on the first day of class for the term. There is no maximum number of credit hours for eligible dependents. Dependent verification documentation will be required if not already provided and on file.
Minimum Age Requirement
Distance Education (DE) students can enroll as early at 6th grade if they meet the requirements, therefore since it is not outlined in the waiver or for enrollment, there is not a set minimum age for the dependent waiver.
Part-Time (Adjunct) Faculty
Part-time instructional faculty who would like to enhance their skills related to instruction are able to participate in training offered by the College through CITT, with prior approval by their supervisor. For credit classes, during a semester when the faculty member is teaching a minimum of one class, an adjunct faculty member may take a maximum of three (3) credit hours per semester without paying tuition and fees on a space-available basis with registration limited to the first week of classes. No compensation will be offered for completion of a class or training. Dependents are not eligible for Adjunct Tuition Waiver—only the employee (Adjunct Faculty). “Adjunct Faculty” should be written at the top of the waiver request form.
