Full-Time Employee Years of Service Awards

Full-Time Employee Years of Service Awards

Service awards are given to full-time employees when they have completed five (5) years of full-time, continuous service.  Awards are then granted in five-year increments going forward.

PROCEDURE

Each full-time employee will be eligible to receive an award in recognition of continuous service.  The continuous service date may be adjusted due to changes that interrupt full-time status.  Examples are moving to part-time, termination of employment and re-hire, or long-term unpaid leaves of absence.   Periods of full-time service are not bridged for the purpose of awards.   These guidelines only pertain to service awards, not to other areas such as FRS retirement or faculty tenure.

The President or the President's designee will present the awards annually at each campus, including the District Administrative Offices.  Award events are  typically held during the Fall semester. The President will personally recognize the recipients of 25 years and up during All College Day the following Spring.

An employee will be notified by their campus president or appropriate Cabinet member as to the date and location of the presentation of their service award. Any recipient who is unable to attend the awards ceremony will receive their award from their supervising administrator.
