Connecting to HCC_Wireless [Windows]

This KB article will provide guidance on connecting your Windows device to the Wireless network.

Overview

This article will guide you on how to utilize the Wi-Fi system at Hillsborough Community College using Windows devices.  Before connecting, please understand that by doing so you are agreeing to the College's Acceptable Use Policy.

Procedure

1. With your device's wireless card already enabled, click on the wireless icon in the lower right corner of the screen.
   
   

2. This will open a list of available wireless networks. Click on "HCC_Wireless".
   
   

3. Verify that "Connect automatically" is checked and then click on "Connect".

4. Enter your username and password. Your "Username" will be your HCC email address for example:

   • Student: student@hawkmail.hccfl.edu
   • Employee: employee@hccfl.edu

   
   Then click "OK".
   
   

5. Trust the certificate by clicking "Connect". This will install the certificate on your device.
   
   
    

6. You are now connected to the HCC Wireless Network.
